If the official FortiClient software does not work for you, you can use NetworkManager after installing three packages: NetworkManager-fortisslvpn openfortivpn NetworkManager-fortisslvpn-gnome. openfortivpn can also be used on the command line. You may need to add an option to trust the certificate being used, e.g.: openfortivpn -u first.last --trusted-cert 4401...hash...15e0


Off-campus access to library services is available via ezproxy. Prepend to the url of the journal article you need. This can be automated by dragging this link into your browser's bookmarks toolbar: UL EZproxy This link uses the javascript code javascript:void(location.href=""+location.href), which can be adapted easily for use with other universities' libraries.
